An exciting opportunity has arisen for two highly skilled Program Managers to join a leading NSW University. This role offers the chance to work on large, complex programs requiring multiple streams of work aimed at achieving a common set of outcomes.
What you'll do:
As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the overall project organisation to ensure the successful implementation of programs. You will provide leadership and expert advice throughout the development and establishment of project plans across various work streams. Your responsibilities will also include managing overarching program governance, reporting throughout implementation, and coordinating external funding opportunities. You will engage with stakeholders, collaborate with project teams, manage financials against budget, and undertake ad-hoc projects relevant to your role.
Establish and manage overall project organisation to support the successful implementation of programs
Provide program management leadership and expert advice throughout the development and establishment of project plans across work streams
Manage overarching program governance and reporting throughout implementation
Manage program stakeholders and collaborate with project teams to ensure that deliverables and milestones are achieved
Manage project financials against budget and coordinate external funding opportunities
Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities relevant to the role’s key accountabilities
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Program Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing significant, complex programs that span several functions within a large organisation. You have demonstrated experience in supervising, training, mentoring staff; managing diverse HR issues; managing multiple work streams; leading large complex projects; financial management; literacy; managing budgets; controlling income; expenditure for a project; as well as significant experience in web and ICT development methodologies in an Agile environment.
Minimum 5 years experience in a Program Manager role delivering large or complex programs
Effective management of a diverse group of key stakeholders
Experience delivering large operational or HR transformation programs
Experience in tertiary education desirable
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills together with effective leadership and people management skills
