JR0000009932Continuing | Full-TimeHigher Education Officer Level 5 | $77,686 - $85,736 p.a.Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna CountryView Position DescriptionAbout Flinders University Student Association (FUSA)Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) is the student organisation that represents the rights and interests of students at Flinders University. FUSA is responsible for community building events on campus, including Orientation. FUSA also provides a wide range of other services including managing clubs and associations, provides welfare and advocacy services. About the RoleFUSA is seeking a motivated Programs and Events Officer to foster a vibrant community across Flinders Campuses, through the development of programs, events, and activities. Supporting the Senior Coordinator Programming and Communications, you will engage with diverse student groups and individuals to assess needs and co-create solutions that build community and are aimed at improving student experience. You will also be responsible for:Working closely with other University stakeholders, including student leaders to contribute to the delivery of the social component of a University wide orientation and welcome program.Building relationships with a diverse range of student groups including students from marginalised communities, students with additional needs and student leaders.Engaging in best practice event and project management, including the development and implementation of mechanisms for the ongoing review and effective evaluation of events against key performance indicators.About YouYou will be an energetic self-starter and excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with a diverse range of students. You will also be a community orientated person, who can create events in partnership with diverse student groups.The successful Programs and Events Officer will also demonstrate:Experience in supporting the development, coordination and delivery of a program of engagement activities, events and activations aligned to placemaking and/or building a vibrant campus culture.Sound knowledge and skills in event and program planning and the delivery processes and techniques employed to achieve required objectives within scope and budget.Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.Life at FlindersWe're transforming and investing in people and facilities to create contemporary, stimulating, and satisfying learning and work environments that reflect our core values of excellence, innovation, courage, and integrity.
