About the opportunity
Sydney Institute for Community Languages Education (SICLE) Supporting and researching linguistic diversity in Australia. Their work informs policy and evidence-based language teaching approaches. Additionally, they offer professional pathways for teachers and support community language students by developing curriculum resources and assessments.
They are currently seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager. This position will provide comprehensive project management support and strategic advice to contribute to the planning and establishment of various operational, grant, and tender projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Additionally, the Project Manager will assist in preparing and submitting grant and tender applications, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Provide program and project management support and advice to contribute to the planning and establishment of projects and support in preparing and submitting grant and tender applications
Monitor project financials by tracking budgets, allocating costs effectively, and promptly identifying and addressing any financial issues or project-related problems
Develop and implement robust project governance procedures to effectively monitor project performance, budget controls, and mitigate risks
Collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional teamwork, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external project partners and stakeholders (including: Academics, Teachers, Students, Students' parents, and schools)
Excellent administrative skills, coupled with a general understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies, and technological literacy with relevant project management tools
About you
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (highly desired is Teaching) or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
demonstrated experience in program and project management to strict deadlines and manage various demands
experience in preparing and successfully submitting grant and tender applications, including a demonstrated understanding of the application process, requirements, and evaluation criteria
comprehensive experience developing and monitoring budgets, expenditure and supporting documents
excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills
has previously worked in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation.
