Talent International is looking for a Finance Support Officer for one of our government department clients. This role plays a crucial role in the development of NSW. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to coordinate the daily operations and support transactional finance tasks in an exciting contract until May 2025.
The Job
Reporting into the Manager in this Finance Officer role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing financial support services across the wider division
- Financial analysis and financial reporting
- Preparing and reviewing general ledger reconciliations
- Managing month-end activities and reporting
- Conducting audit and assurance activities
- Assisting in preparing accurate and detailed budgets, accounts, procurements, reports and financial documents
- Financial data entry and system maintenance
You
To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following:
- Proven experience working within a similar capacity for at least 2 years
- Previous SAP ERP experience will be beneficial
- Auditing and accounting skills
- Government background/ or funding background desirable
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
