Programs Officer (Multiple Positions)

Programs Officer, Scienceworks (Ongoing and Fixed-term positions available) 

Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking two Programs Officers to join the dynamic Public Programs team at Scienceworks.

ABOUT THE POSITION: 

The primary responsibility of the Programs Officer will beto contribute to the development and delivery of public and education programs and events that meaningfully engage our diverse audiences with the unique mission and vision of our museums.  

NOTABE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

• Well-developed communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interpret science and technology for diverse audiences;   
• Demonstrated experience in the research, development and delivery of engaging programs and supporting resources for diverse audiences;   
• Strong knowledge of Scienceworks' content pillars: Science, Space and Technology;  
• Awareness of education and learning techniques for diverse audiences and the ability to apply this knowledge to a museum context;  
• Good organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage own work and time effectively, and meet deadlines in a timely manner;   
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams including the ability to work with multiple project leaders;   
• The successful applicant is required to undergo a Working with Children Check and be assessed as suitable (new employees are required to meet this cost).   
• The successful applicant will be accountable for providing support for the development and delivery of programs and events, in ways that effectively engage Museums Victoria's audiences and meet Museums Victoria's objectives and priorities.  

OTHER INFORMATION: 

There are two Full-time roles on offer, one Ongoing and one fixed-term until 31 December 2025. The salary on offer is $66,063 (pro rata) + 11% superannuation.
