AddressAbout the role As the Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the accruals process for capital projects and will be responsible for the following:
- Support the validation of accruals for capital projects (checking accruals align with invoicing in subsequent period) for capital projects
- Working with asset accountant to provide guidance and support on proposed capitalisation of completed assets
- Achieve a strong client service focus for all project activities by establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with departmental business units and other stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accountancy, or commerce.
- Previous experience with SAP
- Infrastructure financial management experience, including:
- Project financial management (such as project cashflows, project accruals, etc.)
- Asset accounting (eg. non-current asset accounting policy, asset capitalisation, etc.)
- Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and Compiling and analysing financial reports
- Knowledge of infrastructure project management is as advantage, Demonstrated appropriate understanding of project accounting principles relevant to construction of a fixed asset
