IPA is recruiting for several Project Costing Officers for our Rockhampton client.
About the Role:
Our client is a leader in infrastructure delivery looking for several people to join their team as a Project Costing Officers.
As a Project Costing Officer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the financial sustainability of their projects through meticulous financial management, procurement, and administrative support. This is a temporary position based in Rockhampton, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects.
The successful applicants will be employed by IPA on a Labour Hire basis initially with potential to extend and/or be considered for Direct contracts or permanent engagement directly with the business long term.
The hours for these roles are full time hours, Monday - Friday, approx. 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial and Timesheet Transactions: Process daily financial transactions and timesheet entries using SAP R/3.
- Financial Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project financials, prepare "End of Month" and on-request reports, and provide early warnings of deviations.
- Procurement and Supply Management: Organise and assist with the ordering, purchasing, and supply of project requirements. Resolve supplier complaints and monitor inventory.
- Costing and Financial Administration Support: Provide expert advice and support on costing and financial matters to project teams.
- Timesheet and Payroll Management: Prepare and validate employee timesheets, ensuring accurate payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Governance and Compliance: Maintain good governance in all financial and administrative tasks, adhering to legislative framework and Code of Conduct.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong financial abilities and experience, particularly in a Project Costing environment.
- High-level computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail with quick and accurate data entry skills.
- Self-motivated, highly efficient, and organised.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Systems and on the job training will be provided, but we are looking for applicants with a proven financial administration background that will help you to succeed in this role.
