About your new Employer!

Your new employer is a globally listed organisation located in the Western Suburbs. This business is a market leader in their industry and is forward-thinking and innovative in the way that they engage with their customer base. They are well positioned for growth due to recent acquisitions and are therefore looking for a dynamic Project Accountant to join them for an initial 3-month contract with scope for extension. You'll be part of a friendly and dynamic company where you'll be working in a collaborative team environment.

About your new role

This position has arisen due to increased workload resulting from M&A activities, ongoing projects, and acquisition disposals. 

Your core duties will include: 

• Perform technical accounting tasks related to M&A activities and projects
• Compile and analyze financial data to produce accurate forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information for financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support during audits and financial due diligence processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external parties to address any accounting-related inquiries or issues.

About you!You will be a CA/CPA qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills. You will have demonstrated the ability to work autonomously, and be adept at compiling financial forecasts, cash flows, and proposals. Big 4 background is preferred but not essential.

You will also be a hands-on self-starter who loves improving processes and are proactive. You are commercially minded, you operate with initiative and drive and enjoy collaboration and working as part of a team.
