About the Opportunity
Reporting to a Finance Business Partner, you will provide Project Accountant administration to complete both monthly and annual reporting in a fast-paced and high-volume environment. Working in a supportive, collaborative national finance team of 17, you will:
- Assist with preparation of monthly invoicing
- Follow up on overdue Debtors
- Review sub-consultant invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
- Enter sub-consultant invoices into Deltek and following up with Project Lead to gain approval for payment
- Keep Sector billing forecasts updated
- Assist with mid-month P&L review meetings with business stakeholders
- Assist with financial and/or project reporting as required
About You
Your prior project accounting experience coupled with your ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment will see you thrive in this role. Furthermore, you will have:
Essential
- Strong knowledge and experience in general ledger reconciliation
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Accounting software experience
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong numerical and analytic skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desirable
- ERP systems experience preferred (Deltek would be advantageous)
- Familiarity with construction/design accounting processes
- Qualified in accounting/business
