  • Salary ranges from $93,295 to $102,941 plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Administrative Officer provides a broad range of administrative services and leverages extensive business unit knowledge to support the Senior Manager/ Executive's program of work and facilitate the delivery of business operations. The role is primarily responsible for providing high level executive and administrative support to senior management including the day-to-day operations of the Executive's office

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Project Administration Officer to join the team. If you are passionate about offering a variety of support and project management services and possess the following skills, then we want to hear from you!

  • Able to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume and agile project management environment.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience, preferably gained through the completion of a business-related tertiary qualification and supplemented by practical experience in a diverse and complex operating environment

Note: the selection process will include a range of assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role. Successful candidates will be required to undertake pre-employment screening for this role which includes a National Criminal History Check.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates who have not previously worked for the department will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number. This option would allow the WWCC to naturally expire without further communication needed with the employee. The employer obligations under the WWCC would apply for duration of the WWCC's validity (up to 5 years)
