Salary packaging options
The Project Assistant supports the delivery of projects by completing a range of activities, including coordinating, and developing project administrative processes, coordinating project-related communication, stakeholder engagements and project documentation. We are looking for a highly motivated Project Assistant with project coordination and administrative skills, including excellent time management, attention to detail, competency in a range of office-related functions and the ability to deliver outcomes in a time-constrained context.
MadeHer project
Menstrual disorders – irregular, heavy, or painful periods – and pelvic pain are common among adolescent girls and disrupt life activities. Not enough is known about the maternal and early life factors linked with these conditions. The MadeHER study is establishing a cohort of mothers and daughters to collect new data to address this evidence gap. A Project Assistant is required to support a range of MadeHER activities, particularly those related to recruitment of adolescent girls.
Key responsibilities will include:
Project related Responsibilities: Coordinating project communication, including drafting emails, documents, and other materials (e.g., recruitment flyers)
Assisting with the development of project plans and evaluation processes
Operational Office Responsibilities: Organising and supporting the delivery of project-related activities, events, and engagements.
Facilitating efficient functioning of the MadeHer office's day to day procedures and operations, and assurance of standards and logistics.
Stakeholder Management: Liaising with internal and/or external project stakeholders, to answer routine inquiries and provide updates regarding the status of the project.
This is a part-time (80%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months.
At HEW level 4 the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $71,640 - $75,957, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $83,818 - $88,870 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.
About YouCert IV or Diploma with relevant work experience; Cert III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Experience/training in health sciences, public health or psychology will be well regarded.
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience using project management software/programs or the ability to quickly learn new programs.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to connect and communicate with adolescent girls will be highly regarded.
Effective time management skills
