The Infrastructure Project Management service line is a national growth initiative within RPS’ Project Management Division, which includes over 500 staff nationally. With a presence in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, the service line covers the transport, energy, water and resources sectors and is comprised of a team of high caliber infrastructure project management professionals, and also includes specialists in the establishment and administration of Project Management Office and Project Controls.
The role
Responsibility for all aspects of Project Control including developing time phasing budgets, reporting cost deviations, month end cost reporting cycle, cost forecasting, planning & scheduling, risk and change management.
Responsible for developing and maintaining a master plan and schedule to meet the project or program objectives.
Responsible for development and maintenance of Project Control plans associated with project schedule, document control, cost control, cash flow, and risk management in accordance with client and project requirements.
Manage project teams to deliver against budget performance.
Conceive, design and manage large programs and projects.
Provide advanced level advice and guidance to project teams and clients and undertake peer reviews.
Identify and convert strategic opportunities with new and existing clients.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification backed by 15 or more years of experience.
Tertiary education in Project Management or Construction related discipline is highly regarded, but not essential.
Professional Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, RPEQ, AIQS, RICS, AACEI or similar is desirable; and
Actively seeks to deliver exceptional client experience and ability to develop long term business relationships with client and industry partners.
Good knowledge of MS Office package, scheduling software (Primavera 6.0, MS Project),document control software, accounting software (SAP) and risk software (@Risk).
Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and work cooperatively with people at all levels to achieve desired outcomes.
