Remuneration Package:

GR Projects is committed to providing a remuneration package to its employees that will:

  • Attract, reward, and retain qualified team members who will actively participate in achieving GR Projects’s strategic objectives.
  • Motivate team members to perform at a high level with a balanced and competitive remuneration package.

The renumeration package is comprised of three key components:

  • Fixed Remuneration – salary and superannuation.
  • Performance-Based Remuneration – 10% of annual company profits are made available to employees based on individual performance.
  • Wellbeing Remuneration – This includes allowances for Private Health Insurance, Personal Travel Insurance, three additional Company Days provided as paid leave, and access to an Employee Wellbeing Service operated by Headway (Professional Psychologists).

Our clients are predominantly based in Australia and New Zealand with projects throughout South Africa, South America, South East Asia, North America, and beyond.


Specific Duties: The successful candidate will provide support to our Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian offices. Duties will include:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining Project Controls systems (encompassing project scheduling, cost control, integrated reporting, scope management, forecasting, variance identification and change management) to support current and future project developments and site execution.
  • Managing and integrating specific project budgets and schedules, including obtaining progress updates from key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Preparing, analysing, reviewing and issuing timely reports for the portfolio, including implications of changes to forecasts.
  • Compliance with client project control guidelines, procedures and directions as well as relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommending improvements to processes through utilisation of experience and problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitating review meetings and ensuring cost and schedule management tools and systems are updated.
  • Providing input into bid proposals, preparing estimates as required, and allocating budget to committed funds.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to project teams.
  • Developing and implementing of key Project Controls improvement initiatives and cost optimisation strategies.
  • Preparing and issuing monthly project invoices.
  • Operating and maintaining Project Management databases.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, SMEs, contractors and clients.


Skills and experience: The successful candidate will:

  • Experience in similar role on large projects and / or studies.
  • Experience in all facets of Project Controls, including but not limited to cost control, planning / scheduling, Project Controls reporting, estimating, contract administration (desirable).
  • Working technical knowledge of both cost control and planning / scheduling, specifically utilising Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding of a wide range of project control tools and work processes.
  • Ability to develop and improve processes and tools.
  • Ability to influence and manage key stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills to keep the team focused and manage deadlines to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), diligent attention to detail, and be able to problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Mining experience, whilst advantageous, is not essential.
