About the role:
Our client is planning significant upgrades for one of their port facilities in the Pilbara. This role will lead a dynamic team to plan coordinate, construct and commission electrical and Control Systems works.
Work must be delivered in compliance with the company’s technical standards, project schedules, within budget whist committed to health safety and environment.
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience delivering brownfields upgrades in a mining context. Familiarity with balanced machines (Stackers, Reclaimers, Ship loaders), substations, Switch rooms, conveyor drives and transfer chutes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects from study to construction and operational readiness.
- Deliver electrical/control system packages on schedule and within budget.
- Work with the commissioning and Operational Readiness teams during plant and equipment start-up.
- Oversee the work of external engineering service providers.
- Liaise with the client, vendors, manufacturer representatives and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project risks and implement corresponding risk controls.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic or Control Systems
- Schneider or GE PLC and Wonderware SCADA experience ideal.
- Proven successful delivery of control system projects in the mining industry.
- Client side or EPCM project experience.
