The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
As Project Controls Lead you will be accountable for Project Controls including cost, change and risk management, and overseeing planning and schedule management. The role is also responsible for Project Controls earned value assessments and reporting, and deep dives to ensure controls deliverables and processes meet internal and contractual requirements for the projects.
Closely working with project management team, stream leads and supports, you will be the main point of contact and accountability for ensuring the Project Controls requirements of the Project Director are met. You will also interact with client/delivery partners' Project Controls as required to meet performance targets and to ensure sound controls services and results are delivered.
Skills & Experience
What we expect from you:
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Commerce or similar)
- High level commercial, business acumen, and problem solving skills
- Specific and substantial experience in similar Project Controls roles and processes including Cost and Change Control, project risk and performance assessment
- Proven capacity to manage stakeholder relationships effectively and producing customer centric outcomes
- Extensive experience in similar roles in engineering and construction projects (Infrastructure, Energy, Power/Transmission, Utilities, etc.), and knowledge of Project Controls methodologies and standards (such as AACE, PMBOK, etc.)
- Developed negotiation and presentations skills with collaborative and decisive behaviour style
- Integrity and commitment to ethical practice, equity and diversity
- Skilled in Project Controls systems and tools, and Excel
