Project Coordinator

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Project Scheduler to develop, implement and maintain systems for planning, monitoring and reporting the progress and performance of projects within the CMI Planning division.

Responsibilities:

• Providing support to the Project Manager.
• Lead minor projects from award through to close out.
• Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and deliverables.
• Coordinating procurement of materials relevant to the scope in line with budgets.
• Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
• Maintain, track and report on project progress and performance.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams to provide assistance and technical support.
• Work closely with clients, suppliers, and our managers, steel detailers, workshop, and site teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Organising packages for fabrication.
• Monitor fabricated items and arrange surface treatment.
• Arrange transport and recording of all items leaving the workshop.
• Liaise with the QA team to arrange inspections.
• Develop and effectively maintain a professional working relationships with both clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Update and maintain Quality registers

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years experience with projects
• Minimum 3 years exposure to steel / fabrication industry
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail and a high standard of quality management
• Ability to read and follow engineering plans.
• Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis and be eligible to access client sites.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees
