We’re searching for a highly qualified Project Coordinator to help us maintain our position as an innovative authority in the Telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience coordinating and delivering construction and/or technology (hardware-based) rollouts or installation projects. Strong skills in work-plan development and progress tracking are required. The Project Coordinator will also prepare and present updates regularly to relevant management channels, ensuring that our goal of innovation is being achieved. This is a full-time office-based role, located in Hallam, Victoria.
Objectives of this role
- Liaise with managers and clients to clearly define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organisational goals
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget
- Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope or timeline to achieve optimal results
- Assign roles and tasks to team members based on their individual strengths and abilities
- Help build the skill sets of team members and share learnings with other employees
- Achieve organisational goals while adhering to standards and best practices
- Maintaining compliance with internal and customer Quality Management Systems
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all aspects of a project are organised and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirements
- Develop and maintain project performance recording that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones
- Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximise deliverables output
- Report project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels, and escalate issues according to the project work plan
- Serve as point of communication between company teams and external resources
- Deepen partnerships with outside resources, including third-party vendors and researchers
- Oversee the auditing of systems and processes internally to ensure ongoing compliance across our Quality Management System and to ensure ongoing compliance with third-party/customer systems as required.
Required skills and qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in project coordination
- Experience in coordinating teams and clients within the construction and/or technology/hardware or telecommunications sectors.
- Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skillset.
- Proven results working on major projects for large corporate and Government stakeholders.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
