CTA Metalworks is a small but busy fencing and metalworks contractor servicing the Tier 1/2/3 commercial construction industry across Victoria. It is a member of the CTA Group of businesses that has an operation in each state, a diverse product portfolio and over 85 employees nationally which has led to CTA experiencing significant growth both through company acquisitions and an expanding market share.
CTA is seeking a well-rounded individual to assist in the co-ordination of our fencing and metalworks business. This role will commence as an understudy to the general Manager, as a Project Coordinator with the opportunity for quick career progression for the right candidate.
It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to get involved in the operation of a business in the construction industry and exercise the skills required to see projects through from inception to final completion.
In the process you will become a pivotal member of the CTA team.
About the Role
As an understudy to the Company General Manager, you will assuming responsibility for the following duties:
- Overseeing the Company Estimator to ensure adequate project costings.
- Interfacing with our Draftsperson to finalise drawings and Client sign off.
- Overseeing Fabrication to ensure product Quality and on-time delivery.
- Maintain contact with Clients, build relationships and drive sales growth.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure competitive purchasing of materials
- Preparation of monthly Progress Claims and liaising with the Accounts team to ensure invoices are correct.
- Monitoring of workload across the operation and making recommendations with regards to resource as required.
- Visiting job sites in order to develop relationships with on-site installers and maintain on-site presence.
- Get involved with and propose product design to meet Client briefs

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar technically minded discipline.
- Management experience in a similar industry
