An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Coordinator to join a newly formed working group tasked with developing and implementing Curtin’s sustainable development action plan.
Curtin is passionate about making a difference. The development of the Sustainable Development Strategy outlines Curtin’s firm commitment to our 2030 Strategic Plan. The next phase is the development of a multidisciplinary, cross-functional Sustainable Development Action Plan, with a focus to make sustainability more embedded and transdisciplinary.
The role is a collaborative and dynamic position that will be crucial in supporting and enabling the development of the sustainability action plan, implementation activities and successful monitoring and reporting. Coordinate resources associated with the delivery of assigned projects, monitor projects costs, and provide updates and reports to the Project Lead, as required.
Communicate with project stakeholders and provide progress update reports to ensure schedules are being met.
Identify impacts and risks associated with the project and report on these.
Undertake project research tasks and compile and analyse data.
As a member of the University community, demonstrate the highest possible standards of professional and personal conduct, modelling the University’s Values and Signature Behaviours.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated organisational/project management skills with the ability to coordinate and implement project activities.
Demonstrated understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Demonstrated interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity.
Demonstrated commitment to quality management processes and experience in successfully supporting end to end project management.
Demonstrated people management skills with the competence to provide support to diverse groups of people and stakeholders.
Experience with and/or interest in sustainability, spanning from governance to project support.
