THE ROLE & OPPORTUNITY
The HSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of approved Safety and Environmental; systems within the fabrication and Manufacturing facility.
The role will be responsible for:
- Provide Health, Safety and Environmental advice to the business
- Advise on changes to Health, Safety and environmental legislation, regulations, standards and Codes of Practice
- Provide onsite HSE support where required for the set up and execution of HSE requirements for the fabrication facility
- Develop and implement approved HSE strategies and initiatives for the site
- Set up and maintaining, monitoring, and reviewing HSE Systems for the fabrication facility
- Responsible for conducting or coordinating HSE audits and inspections for sites, projects, contractors, subcontractors and clients
- Support in the reporting of safety lead and lag indicators for the site
- Conduct Incident Investigations
- Support the Injury Management and Return to Work Programs and rehabilitation of injured workers
- Create Risk register for site projects
- Assist development of site specific management plans
- Assist development of HSE packages for site
- Liaise with clients with relation to HSE
- Project manage HSE set up of the newly established facility
- Actively demonstrating positive attitudes towards occupational health and safety
- Identifying and controlling the risks using a documented risk management process
- Actively investigating hazards, near misses and incident reports so that all root causes are identified, and preventive actions are taken to control HSE risks
- Providing expertise to ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, company and client standards and guidelines
WHAT YOU’VE DONE BEFORE:
- Bachelor’s degree - OSH / or Masters OSH
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Valid Senior First Aid
- Valid Driver Licence
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Microsoft Office / Excel / Outlook intermediate skills
- Mining, Resources Industry preferred.
