Project Coordinators – 5 Positions Available!

Tecside is a specialist recruitment company seeking 5 Project Coordinators to work on a major project in Western Sydney.

• 5 Positions available
• Minimum 12-month project with likelihood for extension
• Generous hourly rates (Range: $80 – $100+ per hour) + Overtime available
• Located in Erskine Park, Sydney

Our client is a leading international supplier of steel products and solutions for building and construction markets.

The opportunities include multiple Project Coordinators within the following Engineering disciplines:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Structural Engineering

Position overview

These roles will contribute to the safe construction of the facility, meeting design, quality, budget and timeline requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Proactively demonstrate personal commitment to site safety by leading by example and acting as a coach/mentor to the site construction and other personnel on site.
• Review the development of engineering designs to ensure constructability of the equipment and allows ongoing operations and maintenance.
• Review & approve Quality documentation and ensure compliance to the project standards & drawings.
• Perform pro-active site walks checking contractors’ workmanship quality & compliance to the project’s standards & drawings.
• Incident reporting, investigation, and close-out
• Track performance against the Project Schedule and Construction Budget.

The successful candidate will have:

• Trade or associate diploma in relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in the construction aspects of projects in heavy industry and associated aspects including contractor management
• Experience in the safe and successful development and delivery of large construction project(s) in a leadership role.
• Experience with heavy industrial manufacturing facilities and associated infrastructure.
• Experience in the construction of metal processing or similar process line facilities. (Desirable)
