Council’s Engineering Development & Delivery Branch have an exciting opportunity for two Project Development Officers to join their team.
Position Objectives The officer will be responsible for:
Supporting Council’s facility asset strategies by providing effective and efficient facility Project Development for the design and delivery of capital works projects. This includes but not limited to the following areas: Inception, Design, Architectural, Engineering, Capital Project Briefs, Permits, Procurement, Project Delivery, Project Completion and Hand Over through internal and external suppliers.
Preparing designs and developing specifications, job estimates and project scopes for capital projects
Preparation of procurement documentation including tender specifications to undertake procurement and tendering process activities
Providing effective and efficient project management services for the planning and delivery of capital works projects in relation to time, cost and quality.
Delivery of allocated capital works projects as per agreed organisational timelines.
Qualifications and ExperienceIdeally the successful applicant will have the following:
A Diploma or degree Qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Surveying or Project Management and substantial relevant experience.
Extensive contract and project management experience in the construction and building industry.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills including MS Office suite, records management and financial systems.
High level customer service skills and experience.
Experience in working to timeframes and reporting requirements.
Experience in working in an environment where quality and attention to detail are required.
Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
Current Drivers Licence.
Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $90,876 to $98,943 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
