As a Project Director at Calibre, you will be managing a complex project in excess of $1 billion, where the nature of the position is predominantly associated with developing and growing Calibre/WSP strategic relationship with our major client. The Project Director shall liaise with senior management personnel within Calibre/WSP, client and contractor organisations to optimise the delivery of this flagship project within our Mining and Resources Sector.
Day to day you will coach and mentor senior project management personnel in improving the project outcomes and champion continuous organisation improvement. You will also lead a dynamic and talented team and manage and develop key client relationships.
Some of the key accountabilities in this role will include (and not limited to):
- Managing Project scope
- Managing Project time and cost
- Manage Project communication
- Manage Contract and procurement processes
- Manage Project risk
- Manage Human resource strategies
- Manage Project quality

You will have extensive experience in delivering detailed engineering projects with major mining companies in Western Australia. You will be a collaborative and influential leader, who can effectively communicate to all management levels and manage client expectations.
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in the Resources sector, ideally 20+ years’ experience working in engineering design and construction, senior management and leadership experience including direct line supervision of managers in technical disciplines.
You are required to be the complete package with a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to build relationships at all levels. We are looking for a confident decision-maker based on all of your years of experience. You will be a mentor and change champion to ensure we are aligning people, processes and structure.
