Project Engineer

One of our esteemed clients, a renowned leader in the Australian steel industry, is currently in search of a dedicated Project Engineer to join their dynamic team at their manufacturing site in Adelaide.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee and assist with engineering deliverables for procurement and installation of existing and new Mill equipment
• Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and site teams to ensure project timelines are met
• Liaise, communicate and coordinate with operating plant personnel regarding any interactions or decision points
• Monitor project activities to achieve project milestones and make timely decisions

Experience required:

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary education in an approved discipline such as science, engineering
• Demonstrated ability to lead project activities in a brownfield site, including proficient timeline management
• Proven capability to lead and manage safety initiatives effectively
• Track record of involvement in change management including stakeholder engagement, consultation, negotiation and influence
• Experience in Mechanical, Automation, or Electrical engineering
• Proficiency in procurement processes and competitive tendering
• Experience working with multi-discipline teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong team and organizational skills.
• Desirable experience in Microsoft and CAD/Inventor (Drawing) applications.
