Project Engineer

The Opportunity

As a Project Engineer, you will be working on a variety of interesting projects alongside the Contract & Framework Manager and Project Managers, within SEM Water Division. This role will see you as an Engineer for several water and waste water construction crews and projects in the ongoing delivery of our Metropolitan Adelaide Water Main Relay Contract. 

• Collaborate with Project Mangers across all aspects of Water Main Relay projects to successful completion; on-time and on-budget.
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors to successfully deliver project requirements.
• Effectively managing claims and variations.
• Developing relationships with internal and external clients
• Verifying design elements of projects
• Experience using Microsoft Project Essential

Key Selection Criteria:

• Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in commercial or civil construction. 
• You will have excellent planning, organisation and communication skills allowing you to manage multiple priorities whilst delivering your project within time, cost and quality constraints. 
• Extensive knowledge of legislation associated with the Civil Construction Industry and understanding all HSEQ requirements would be essential. 
• Strong knowledge of water infrastructure and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. 
• High level of IT proficiency, computer literacy, MS Office Suite
