Our client delivers a range of essential potable and raw water infrastructure support and maintenance solutions. They specialise across engineering, raw water services, dams, water quality training, equipment hire and treatment plants.
There is currently an opportunity for an innovative engineer to join the business on a full-time basis as a key Project Engineer. In this role, you will be based out in Burpengary, QLD.
The Opportunity
As the Project Engineer, you will be providing front end support to a multitude of concurrent projects within the maintenance, construction, and diving sectors. This role involves the preparation of job packs, understanding of construction drawings and associated procurement and the ability to report between the field teams and management. You will work with the relevant department managers to develop tender estimates based on the methodologies and procedures provided.
Role Responsibilities
- Development of cost estimations for construction, diving, maintenance and inspection services.
- Assist project teams with the execution of projects and quality assurance
- Identify and progress suitable tendering opportunities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the company has the capacity and capability to perform projects.
- Preparation and lodgement of conforming tenders and quotations.
- Consulting with operational management to identify and create systems and processes to maximise project efficiency and profitability.
- Maximise procurement opportunities for all plant, equipment and materials specific to projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (civil or structural)
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to research methods and develop innovative ways to price and execute projects.
- Reservoir roofing or any water-based experience is desirable
- Strong personal drive, resilience and initiative
- Dedicated work ethic and positive approach to helping colleagues
- Trade Background and working at heights/ confined space trained is desirable
