AddressOne of Australia's largest government departments are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the team and play a key role in developing and delivering critical road, bridge, and traffic infrastructure projects. Locations are open to Far North Coast - Ballina and South Grafton.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage the investigation and design process, from developing project briefs and cost estimates to overseeing service providers and monitoring work programs.
- Prepare contract documents and specifications for bridge and roadworks projects, ensuring efficient delivery.
- Apply effective cost management systems to optimise project finances.
- Advocate a strong focus on workplace health and safety and environmental management.
- Utilise your technical expertise in road, bridge, and traffic infrastructure construction and maintenance.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- A four-year engineering degree (Electrical, Civil, or related) from an Australian university or equivalent.
- Previous experience in developing and delivering road, bridge, or traffic infrastructure and/or maintenance projects.
- Experience in preparing estimates, job programs, project briefs, WH&S plans, and environmental and traffic management plans.
- Proven ability to manage a direct control workforce and deliver projects successfully.
- Understanding of tenders and contract management.
- Proficiency in project and information management software tools.
- A valid Australian driver's license.
- Willing to work outside of normal business hours and travel occasionally.
