Project Engineer

Hofmann Engineering in Bassendean has a vacancy for a Project Engineer to join its growing team. We are looking for someone with experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing. This position offers a rare opportunity to the right person to further their career in the heavy manufacture industry.

About you
• Mechanical Engineering degree qualification is preferable;
• Strong technical engineering background or ability to learn quickly while exposed to numerous distinct manufacturing processes
• Drafting, Modelling and Design experience is preferable
• Enjoy technical or project management challenges, can liaise with multiple stakeholders maintaining positive relationships while solving problems and delivering successful outcomes.
• Have well-developed organisational and/or project management skills including ability to manage conflicting priorities and high work volumes without affecting quality of service delivery;
• Excellent demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with all stakeholders of various levels;
• Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• Persistent and considered approach to delivering outcomes within highly complex environments;

The role
• Discuss technical requests
• Representing the company in a professional manner, carrying out all business dealings to the highest ethical standards;
• Delivering project management solutions on time, on budget, within scope, and to the highest quality to our clients;
• Creating detailed work plans which identifies and sequences delivery activities;
• Determining resource requirements, as well as contractual and procurement strategies which are to be adopted for the projects.
• Monitoring progress of all jobs you are managing, both internally and externally;
• Maintain document control procedures and drawing control procedures when issuing job instructions, sourcing external enquiries and when placing external purchase orders;
• Ensuring that all work is carried out to Hofmann Safety/Quality Standards; Assessing the customers QA requirements and levels of documentation and ensuring these requirements are reflected in our Quality Plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Technical college or higher level qualification;
• Experience in Project Management within a manufacturing environment;
• Demonstrated experience with fixed plant processing equipment and crushers is desirable;
• Understanding of cost management and project management.
