Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Region. Reporting to the Area Project Manager and interfacing with the broader Delivery Phase Services team. You will work with our clients on several key projects with a focus on Renewable Energy. These are significant, multidisciplinary projects.
As we look to transition from traditional energy sources to adopt more renewable alternatives, you can play a key role in enabling and accelerating this change.
We’ll support you every step of the way as you join us in finding sustainable energy solutions to make a positive impact that will last for generations.
Mostly we are looking for a self-starter that is keen to build a long-term career with a leading Engineering Consultancy. We partner with many tier one clients across resources, renewable energy and utilities projects to name a few. As a junior member of the team, this role has development as a core and will allow you to build you Project Engineering experience that will set you up for development into a Project Management career.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Assisting the Study Manager and Area Project Manager with project management functions across HSE, scope, cost, schedule, and risk management
- Assist with planning and preparation of project reporting and deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise and technical reports to clients, following both client and GHD guidelines.
- Making technical decisions and providing solutions
- Perform site inspections as required and prepare site surveillance reports.
- Undertake design, documentation, and construction support work on engineering projects through all project phases.
- Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree qualifications in preferably Electrical engineering.
- A minimum of three years relevant experience in Project Engineering, preferably with experience on execution projects.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary project environment
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
- High attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills.
