Yargan are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with Fixed Plant experience to join our team for ongoing project support.
You will have the opportunity to work autonomously to deliver capital projects from concept to commissioning within Rio Tinto's capital project framework.

- $100 per hour + Superannuation on all hours
- 4/3 roster

- 12 month duration with possibility of extension
Role Description:
The role will be operating on an 4/3 roster FIFO from Perth.
As Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing a series of capital projects through the full project management life cycle.
As a part of this process, you will be developing the preliminary portions of the project including but not limited to the project scope of work and business base for implementing the project.
You will also be responsible for the implementation of the project including but not limited to managing design consultants, fabricators/onsite construction contractors and project close out.
At all times you will ensure the projects compliance to Rio Tinto's quality requirements, schedule, procurement, commercial and safety policies.
The candidate will work closely with the team, Supervisors and Superintendent.
Requirements for Role:
- Previous experience in mine site Fixed Plant is essential
- Previous experience in brownfields construction projects is essential
- Working knowledge of Rio Tinto systems
- Working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Bachelor/Diploma of Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well
- Confident user of MS Office Suite & SAP
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
