Liquitek is backed by Century Engineering based out of Adelaide which houses a sophisticated fabrication facility with 9,396m2 of manufacturing capability.
Albeit our head office is in Adelaide our project portfolio is spread across Australia with multiple projects located in Southeast Queensland. Positions are for both locations.
Liquitek is experiencing growth with recent and new opportunities with numerous projects within the Water, Wastewater and Industrial process sectors. We are seeking capable candidates that have experience in project management, Project Engineering and site management or supervision.

ROLE: PROJECT ENGINEER
As an integral part of the Liquitek design team, the Project Engineer will participate and provide engineering and design services to all water and wastewater related projects. The role is part of a project team that have exceptional capability, expertise and experience. You will be provided ample support. Water professionals with a background in process, mechanical civil or electrical are welcome to apply or engage in conversation for current or future opportunities.
This role will undertake data analysis, capacity assessment, drafting, calculation and design work in all stages of engineering cycle that support our projects, including front end engineering, concept design, detailed design, testing and commissioning activities.
The Liquitek Engineer will have access to Liquitek’s technical resources including model, design and calculations, and receive support from Liquitek’s technical team as well as our parent company Century Engineering's mechanical design team.
This role will work collaboratively with business development managers, project managers, design partners, suppliers and contractors, and will actively contribute to creating a culture of service excellence and ensure team goals are achieved by providing essential engineering input into the proposal, design, and project delivery processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
Customer Proposal Development
Undertake tender design activities
Provide technical input
Review technical components of contract document, comprehend and record technical obligations and client expectations in Design Basis Report
Develop practical, cost effective, and fit for purpose engineering solutions as required in consultation with client, equipment suppliers, other engineering disciplines and manufacturing resources
Modelling and calculations for equipment selection and sizing
Design engineering input to relevant areas such as Process Flow Diagram, Piping & Instrument Diagram, Hydraulic Profile, Site Layout, General Arrangement drawings, single line diagrams, load and cable schedules, etc.
Draft design documentation such as Detailed Design Report, Control Philosophy and Functional Description where required
Draft design drawings and 3D models using Autocad, SolidWorks and Inventor
Liaise with design engineers and specialists and provide input to the development of hydraulics, civil, mechanical, and electrical design where needed
Participate in design review meetings, SiD, HAZOP, CHAIR workshops
Draft commissioning and testing plans and undertake commissioning work where required
