Position Overview: They are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with specialized experience in civil engineering, particularly in projects involving the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR). The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of road and bridge projects, demonstrating technical expertise and strong project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects, with a focus on roads and bridges.
- Assist in liaising with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) to ensure project compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Contribute to the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct technical analysis and provide engineering expertise to resolve project-related challenges.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects, with a focus on roads and bridges.
- Knowledge of Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) standards and procedures.
- Strong technical skills in engineering design, construction methodologies, and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, both within Brisbane and away on project sites.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
