The role
As the Project Engineer, your primary responsibility is to orchestrate engineering and administrative coordination throughout the project lifecycle, encompassing design, supply, installation, and testing phases. Your role is pivotal in ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion, aligning closely with contractual agreements established with the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Contract and Project Managers with UGL Management System documentation compliance.
- Review project plans with Managers to ensure technical clarity and understand client contracts.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide engineering guidance to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee Project Engineering aspects and remain open to problem-solving.
- Coordinate with Supervisors for accurate schedule updates.
- Manage project schedule, cost reporting, and contract administration.
- Maintain project scope and promptly communicate changes.
- Monitor work progress and adjust workforce as needed.
- Support Quality Manager with Inspection and Test Plans.
- Ensure adherence to client contracts and company procedures.
- Assist Project Manager with procurement and vendor liaison.
- Collaborate with Superintendents to identify and manage risks.
- Aid in monthly report preparation and client meetings.
- Handle administrative tasks for reports.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Undertake additional projects as directed by Managers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary Engineering Qualification
- 2 years' plus, experience
- Project Controls knowledge and delivery skills (Contract Administration, Forecasting and Schedule Development and Management)
- AS9001 Quality Systems knowledge
- Driver's Licence
