The ideal Process Engineer candidate would have the ability to:
- Undertake programming of PLC and SCADA Control Systems. Previous experience with Schneider, Siemens or Allen Bradley highly regarded.
- Undertake configuration or programming of any typical industrial device that you might find in, or alongside, a control system: Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), protocol converters, network switches, protection relays etc.
- Understand common industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP and Ethernet/IP.
- Undertake testing both on the bench, in the factory, and on site.
- Undertake fault finding and support for control, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Understand and interpret electrical drawings, design specifications and IO schedules.
- Communicate effectively within a team environment.
Day To Day Responsibilities include:
- Operate effectively in a team environment where every day can present a fresh challenge.
- Establish and maintain relationships both externally and internally.
- Ensure jobs are on time, budget and per the agreed scope of works.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people alike.
- Maintain statutory compliance across all jobs.
- Keep up to date with constant change across the control system and technologies field.
- Obtain and maintain engineering qualifications and certifications as required by the company.
