The Opportunity
Council is seeking to engage the services of a highly motivated Project Engineer to join a skilled and multidiscipline team of project managers, designers and construction supervisors who collectively administer the ongoing delivery of capital works within the Engineering Services department.

You will also be required to use your project management skills to design and deliver road and drainage related assets, contribute to the development of the short and long-term capital works program, assist in the preparation of engineering project briefs and business cases and project manage internal and external design consultants and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage various projects across diverse disciplines, on time and within budget.
- Manage project financial analysis and reporting.
- Ensure all civil engineering works are designed and built to Council’s standard drawings, guidelines and relevant industry standards.
- Regular consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and effective civil engineering advice.
- Concurrently design and deliver technical projects, investigations and tasks.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary level qualification (recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia) in Construction Management, Engineering or Project Management, or relevant experience.
- Experience in delivering municipal civil engineering projects (direct supervision, project management of in-house and/or external design consultants and/or construction contractors).
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, incorporating technically correct, concise and accurate verbal and written communication.
Understanding of procedures, guidelines, standards and legislation relating to project management in a municipal environment.
