The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Engineer - Mechanical to join our Engineering and Planning team in Melbourne, Victoria on a 15 Month Fixed Term Contract.
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, you will play a key role in project manage and coordinate technical activities, to assist in the delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to established company project framework, engineering and quality standards as well as customer and regulatory standards.
- Maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with peers and customers
- Execute projects in accordance with the plans and the asset strategies, including schedule, cost, and quality of outcomes
- Organise, manage, control and prepare technical submissions to meet the requirements of regulatory bodies
- Manage construction, commissioning, hand over and close out activities.
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or similar environment
- Have a successful track record managing multiple projects simultaneously, and delivering results
- Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to write technical reports
- Experience in brownfields projects and facility installation and modifications.
- Proven track record of construction management and commissioning

The Infrastructure Projects team builds physical projects that minimise risks, reduce costs and improve the operability of APA's assets.
Infrastructure Projects is a passionate multi-discipline design and delivery team, covering engineering and project management. The team delivers projects across APA's asset base from natural gas transmission, power generation, renewables and electricity transmission. These
