AddressWe’re currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Project Engineer (Mechanical) with Rolling Stockexperience to work for our client who have been in business for 30 years and are a leading supplier of engineering and maintenance services to rail businesses Australia wide.
Their large state of the art facility focuses on providing design, manufacturing, refurbishment, overhaul, and repair services with an emphasis on Rolling Stock bogies, motors, wheels, gearboxes, and related componentry.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake, oversee, and manage a variety of engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing activities relating to a diverse range of passenger, freight, heritage, and specialist Rolling Stock systems and equipment (bogies, motors, wheels, gearboxes etc.)
- Interface with a variety of stakeholders including internal management, trades, clients, external suppliers and more
- Develop technical reports and other documentation relating to new and upgraded systems and components (e.g. Engineering Changes, Specifications, Work Instructions etc.)
- Provide technical and process advice, guidance, and governance
Skills and Requirements
- Engineering Degree in a related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Automotive etc.)
- Experience and understanding of Rolling Stock and/or rotary equipment (e.g. motors, gearboxes, axels, wheels) would be highly regarded
- Good written and spoken English language skills
- Ability to interface with technical, trade and management
