AddressDowner is part of a national programme of the design and construction of fibre deeper into selected Fibre to the Node (FTTN) network areas. The extension of fibre within these FTTN areas will allow premises to place orders for higher speed services via a Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) connection. With project offices based in Hexham, NSW and Canning Vale, WA the teams have commenced Design and Construction activities under the N2P Evolution and Adjacent Programs in these states.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Engineer you will work in multi-disciplinary project teams to contribute to and coordinate activities related to the design and construct of Telecommunications Network Infrastructure. You will ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with client design requirements, Australian Standards and relevant legislative requirements. The role will also require co-ordination & management of field related activities during the construction phase. The role is based at our Hexham NSW office. Other locations to be considered for the right candidate.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking to engage an effective communicator with strong relationship building skills & the ability to think quickly & independently, combined with professional presentation & conduct.
- Tertiary qualification in Telecommunication Engineering or Construction
- Proven work experience as a Design, Field or Project Engineer on large scale telecommunications projects
- Knowledge and understanding of design, construction & integration of fixed networks
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications Pit & Pipe Network and working knowledge of fibreoptic networks
- Proven Subcontractor Management experience.
