The Role
We are currently offering a chance to work as a Project Engineer on an exciting and impactful transportation project within the CBD and surrounding areas of Melbourne.
You will be pivotal in achieving objectives set out for the project, collaborating with the project management team to execute the project plans, ensuring adherence to all specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular reports to the project management team.
- Identify and resolve construction-related issues, including design changes, scope variations, and technical challenges.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Foster a culture of safety, ensuring that all team members and contractors follow proper safety procedures and guidelines.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or similar.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in civil construction, with a focus on transportation, rail, trams, roads, or similar infrastructure projects.
- High level of conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
