ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a Project Engineerto join our growing team based in West Perth. You will be responsible for providing engineering advice and support to our Projects team, whilst utilising your mining experience to coordinate full project lifecycles as they are awarded, from tendering, estimating, execution, and final completion of projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Complete detailed methodologies and tender schedules.
- Interpret drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project execution.
- Evaluate pricing, quotes, and estimates from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain tender pricing & documentation deliverables.
- Review and advise on commercial, contracts and scope departures.
- Provide engineering technical support for project teams.
- Develop project deliverables for site execution including workpacks, QAQC documentation, execution methodologies and schedules.
- Coordinating procurement of materials relevant to the scope in line with set budgets.
- Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
- Maintain, track and report on tender progress and performance.
- Liaise closely with clients, Warrikal management and all other project staff.
- Ensure compliance with client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans and procedures.
- Prepare Microsoft Project schedules and work to tight deadlines and budgets.
- Attend regular tender meetings on site to review scope as required.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferable Civil or Mechanical.
- At least 3+ years’ experience with civil project works in the mining sector as a Project Engineer.
- Advantageous to have experience from tendering through to project execution.
- Autonomous worker who can adapt and work flexibly with business requirements.
- Willingness to travel on an ad hoc basis and be eligible to access client sites.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees.
- Proficient in the full MS Office Suite and MS Projects.
