About The Role:Due to our current project expansion works we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee the day-to-day implementation of the planning and execution of onsite construction activities. You will be accountable for leading multi-disciplined contractors and suppliers, whilst also leading and delivering effective contract administration.
Location: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on 6 days off or 14 days on 14 days off (open to a flexible equivalent)
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
In this role you will:- Manage the interface between multiple work groups- remove
- Act as a key leader in the Project Delivery Team to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Participate in Planning workshops and Risk Assessments
- Plan, schedule in conjunction with construction manager, construction project activities to meet milestones
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with engineering and quality standards
- Assist and prepare budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
- Supervise Project Engineers, consultants, and contract administration support
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting inputs to maintain high standard and accurate reporting is maintained throughout the project
- Ensure the highest safety, assigned risks and environmental standards attainable are achieved through good safety, risk and environmental management
- Address RFI and technical queries, manage the engineering interface between contractors and principal engineering contractor
- Provide technical support to supervision and participate in QA walk downs, FIC activities
- At least 2 years' experience in a Project Engineering role within a Construction, Civils and Structural, Mechanical and or Piping environment
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of project implementation including safety, quality, cost, and timeframe commitments for a scope of works
- Well-developed project management skills to deliver project on agreed schedules with a view to improve current and future management of outputs, outcome and impact
- Proven experience exercising sound reasoning to analyse information and data, inform/make decisions and overcome problems to achieve positive outcomes
- Well versed and experienced in budgeting, project management and strategic planning
- Experience in building and maintaining effective systems that will deliver the highest levels of safety and performance whilst achieving production target
- Exercises sound reasoning to analyse information and data, make decisions and overcome problems to achieve positive project outcomes
- Ability to establishes and maintains productive relationships; works collaboratively to achieve results, whilst mentoring and leading people
- QA and inspection/acceptance tasks
- Bachelor's degree or Trade qualification in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering. Relevant professional certification is advantageous.
