About the role

Laing O’Rourke has recently been appointed as Managing Contractor for the Initial Works and Early Works package of Suburban Rail Loop; the huge package of works includes preparing sites for the launch of tunnel boring machines, moving and protecting underground services, ground improvement, geotechnical investigations and roads modifications for this city-shaping project.

We are currently seeking a Water and GasProject Engineer to join the iconic Suburban Rail Loop project. This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.

Key responsibilities

As a Project Engineer (Water and Gas), you will:

• Plan and sequence construction activities
• Tracking costs and managing subcontractors
• Support the procurement process for contractors with the commercial / procurement team
• Provide leadership and direction to direct reports as well as interfacing with design management and construction delivery teams
• Uphold and promote the highest of Health and Safety standards.

About you

You will hold a relevant Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) and have experience working on Infrastructure projects in a Utilities capacity.
