Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading and managing essential filtration projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting comprehensive project planning, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk assessment, to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to coordinate project activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to clients and project teams, including the design, installation, and commissioning of filtration systems.
- Overseeing plant installation and construction activities, including equipment procurement, site preparation, and installation supervision, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Conducting hands-on engineering work as needed to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and optimize system performance.
- Provision of CAD modelling, drawings and equipment commissioning reports.
- Responding to emergency call-outs for clients, demonstrating quick thinking and problem-solving skills to address critical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Managing and overseeing service technician schedules, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of resources to meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Conducting client follow-up to ensure satisfaction with project deliverables and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
- Assisting with tender applications and proposal development, providing technical expertise and support to secure new business opportunities and projects.
- Conducting regular project meetings and progress reviews, communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping of all project activities, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Monitoring project performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and resource efficiency.
- Supporting project closeout activities, including final inspections, testing, documentation, and client handover, to ensure successful project completion and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in the water treatment or environmental engineering sector.
- Strong technical background with expertise in water treatment systems and plant installation preferred.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Willingness to respond to emergency call-outs for clients and perform hands-on engineering work as needed.
