Project Leader, Feral Cat Eradication

• Contract to 30 June 2025.

The Project Leader, Feral Cat Eradication is responsible for completing delivery of the KI Feral Cat Eradication Project, which aims to eradicate feral cats from the 384km2 Dudley Peninsula on the eastern end of Kangaroo Island. Since commencing in 2020, the eradication project has made significant progress, with the eradication zone currently covering around 75% of the Dudley Peninsula.

The role will lead a team of dedicated and experienced field staff to complete the eradication in accordance with the 'Dudley Peninsula Feral Cat Revised Eradication Plan June 2022/2025. This role will also implement monitoring regimes to measure decline in feral cat abundance and occupancy during the eradication and the response of key native fauna to the removal of feral cats.

The Project Leader plays a key role in engaging a wide range of external stakeholders in the region's natural resource management objectives and influencing community support for and adoption of responsible feral cat management practices.
