About the Opportunity
As part of the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Early Careers Program, the Project Management traineeship, is responsible for supporting various departments and functions within ASC while gaining a comprehensive understanding of ASC’s operations.
Our Project Management Trainee Program is a unique and exciting early careers program dedicated to providing meaningful work, growth and security. The role is designed to provide a highly rewarding pathway opportunity into a Project Management career. The successful candidate will receive on the job workplace training while undertaking formalised learning. At the end of your successful training you will also be provided with a formal qualification - BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice.
This is a structured 2-year program which will commence in July 2024. We have multiple opportunities in Henderson, Western Australia and Osborne, South Australia
Responsibilities
With support and training, you will learn and be required to:
- Provide project administration duties including coordinating, managing, and scheduling business tasks.
- Perform costing duties and calculate the scope of projects.
- Coordinate tasks across the different business department streams and employees to achieve common goals.
- Attend Project Management training courses and successfully complete course work.
- Comply with ASC’s PRIDE Values, Code of Conduct and Policies & Procedures.
About you
In addition to sound communication skills, a demonstrated ability / interest in an administrative role and enthusiasm to learn, our successful Project Management Trainee will possess:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Required).
- A good level of computer literacy.
- Motivation to learn and develop.
- Good organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Willingness to obtain Project Management qualifications whilst receiving on the job training.
- Desire to grow a career into a Project Management role.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
