AE Hoskins Building Services is one of the largest all trade building services providers in WA. The role is to deliver commercial refurbishment and construction projects across the portfolio, which includes overseeing projects from tender approval through to completion working closely with Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and our trades. Experience in delivering refurbishment and new build projects up to $2 million in value is essential.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects, ensuring that critical communication is documented.
- Implement & undertake project specific health and safety duties in accordance with legislation, project specific contracts and AE Hoskins Building Services’ policies & procedures.
- Participate and contribute to internal and external project startup, progress and handover
- Develop procurement budgets from tender pricing and undertake subcontractor and supplier procurement. This includes obtaining quotes, quote reviews, quote comparisons, developing scopes of work and letting subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Accurately maintain project data in Job Management software.
- Organise, compile and submit statutory and contract specific documentation.
- Regularly undertake site visits and inspections to monitor and manage safety, quality, scope and programme compliance.
- Identify, record and rectify project non conformances.
- Manage claims and undertake cost control and quality control and monitor project progress with respect to the contract programme.
- Provide monthly cost reporting and project forecasts.
- Closeout projects and any associated defects in a timely manner.
- Build & maintain relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers
- Undertake business development activities, to grow the client base.
Skills and Education
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Project Management.
- Builders License preferable
- Understand the Australian Standard / Code requirements
- Min 3 years project managing refurbishment and/or construction works or min 5 years contract administration experience.
- Superior negotiation and communication skills with varied internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using contract and job management software (Eg. Simpro, Cheops, Jobpac)
- High knowledge base –Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong budgeting and cost control skills
