We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Brisbane. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating resources to complete projects efficiently. Client meetings and/or contact with the client through status reports and correspondence is essential. Projects will typically be multiple concurrent small/medium-sized initiatives with one to two larger projects from time to time.
The candidate will be onsite at the client in Fortitude Valley in a hybrid capacity but will also be required to travel depending on the project. The frequency and length of travel will vary but could be once a month for a few days so having your own car and license is crucial. Having an IT Consulting/Systems Integrator background is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively review hours logged against project budgeted hours. Follow up on discrepancies where appropriate. Logging of project issues, risk, and actions against project documentation.
- Support for Senior Consultants to ensure that the Brennan Project Framework is followed and that all processes, procedures and documentation are completed.
- Engage with account management, seniors and project delivery consultants to complete internal and external planning for project delivery, i.e project meetings and planning sessions, meetings cover such topics as actions, issues, risks, communications, stakeholder register.
- Ensuring project teams receive appropriate project information such as the scope of works, project budgets (estimate of hours of tasks), stakeholder contact information, meeting minutes etc.
- Ensure Change Management policy is adhered to, capturing out of scope works and liaising with project delivery team to document changes to scope and costings. Monitoring of change control status and updating project database to reflect status.
- Actively monitor project communications, such as help desk reports, emails, activity reports as to ensure project tasks are on track with plan, and issues are being dealt with, corrective action is to be taken where required.
- Project Management Certifications (PRINCE2, PMI, P3O)
- Professional Services or IT Consulting, Management experience
- Minimum 5 years IT experience in a consultancy or service delivery environment
- Basic technical understanding of IT infrastructure and Managed Services
- Minimum 3 years Project Management experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
- Ability to delegate effectively, direct and lead technical consultants
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Ability to autonomously manage day-to-day client and project issues
- Ability to work in a billable hour target environment
- Ability to work across teams, including Sales, and Support
