About the opportunity:
As a Project Manager at Daywalk, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of their projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Kicking off new project inquiries and managing project collation, purchasing, and overall communication.
* Ensure on-time and on-budget deliveries for customer projects and stock orders.
* Coordinate project handovers and follow up with customers to ensure smooth transitions.
* Maintain accurate product specifications and liaise with engineering and quality teams.
* Manage RFQs and purchase orders for project items.
* Liaise with suppliers and production companies to track delivery timelines.
* Schedule subcontractors and coordinate fabrication shop priorities.
* Collaborate with business support for freight bookings and documentation.
* Communicate project updates and delivery dates to the sales team and customers.
* Conduct weekly production meetings with external vendors and daily pulse/weekly project meetings with the internal team.
What you will bring to the role:
* Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
* Mechanical Engineering knowledge, experience, and/or qualification.
* Ideally have fabrication, manufacturing and onsite installation/work experience.
* Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
* Strong contract management administration skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills with customers and suppliers.
* Strong team player with the ability to navigate conflicting obligations.
* Proficient in MS Projects or similar with a willingness to learn new systems.
* Process improvement mindset and ability to adhere to protocols and procedures.
