NewPro is hiring a Project Manager! In this role you will work in a consulting project management team and leveraging both your technical engineering expertise and project management experience. Your leadership will drive innovative capital projects, making a real impact. This could be your chance to become part of a team that makes great projects happen.
Here’s what your new role awaits you:
- Managing technical engineering aspects across multiple mineral and metallurgical projects.
- Supporting the initiation, planning, solution selection, execution, and completion of projects.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure approvals are obtained for the design and delivery of efficient and cost-effective mining projects.
- Preparation, tendering, execution, and management of professional service engineering briefs to manage risks and meet quality and standards required.
- Providing weekly and monthly reports on project, schedule, and financial progress.
- Demonstrating a strong focus on safety and environment leadership and implementing industry best practices.
- Undertake Quality Assurance inspections during the execution of projects to ensure works are undertaken in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, with experience in managing the delivery of complex infrastructure brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating multiple, diverse tasks and projects in an environment experiencing rapid change.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience dealing with negotiation and contract management and producing reports.
- Experience in project management, tendering and contract administration, cost estimation and quality assurance.
- Design scope of works as required to undertake effective commercial project delivery.
- Overall responsibility for documentation and effective document record keeping and management.
- Develop close working relationships with clients, both on site and in relevant client authorities and departments.
- Encourage and promote a continuous improvement environment.
- Build and maintain relevant operating processes and practices which drive efficiency and operational compliance.
Working Rights:
- Eligible to work in Australia and hold permanent residence status, or a suitable Visa (3 or 4 years of uninterrupted visa).
- Fit and capable of working in an office environment for 40 hours per week, and if need be, ability to travel to project sites if required.
