WYAC is seeking a Project Manager to head its newly awarded construction project. The incumbent must bring a fresh and agile approach to project delivery, resulting in creative, innovative and cost-effective solutions that offer exceptional value.
About the role
The position requires the day-to-day management of the technical aspects of project delivery. The role demands a strong focus on leadership to achieve required outcomes of the work group and the promotion of high-performance standards, including strong commitment to health, safety and the environment.

- Demonstrate commitment to HSEQ through, personal example, leadership and active participation in HSEQ processes
- Analyse all project management functions with the Construction Manager and relevant stakeholders to determine achievable project objectives
- Proficiency in understanding and maximizing efficiency through Gantt Charts, Scrum and Waterfall.
- Develop a project plan to integrate all project management functions to achieve outcomes and requirements for time, cost, quality and risk and obtain endorsement by Construction Manager
- Monitor compliance with deadlines for project phases, approval points and review points
- Report progress against established project baselines to measure performance throughout the project life cycle
- Review ongoing project progress and record results to assess the effectiveness of project management procedures.
- Estimate project costs to enable budgets to be developed and implement agreed cost management processes
- Select and use established quality management methods, techniques and tools to determine preferred mix of quality, capability, cost and time
- Maintain a quality management system to enable effective recording and communication of quality issues and outcomes to a higher project authority and stakeholders
- Develop, within delegated authority, an agreed communications management plan to ensure clarity of understanding and achievement of project objectives throughout the project life cycle
- Implement and maintain agreed communication networks between project staff, client and other stakeholders to ensure effective communications at appropriate levels throughout the project life cycle
- Pipeline and utilities experience desirable.
You will be required to have a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment /roles/ techniques for yourself and others. You will also be required to develop site-specific work methodologies and programs to ensure the implementation of the client's requirements.
Candidate must meet the following criteria before application:
- 5 years' minimum experience within a similar role for Project Manager
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Management, Diploma of Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering)
- Full WA driving License and Own Transportation
